Verifactu: certificate and registering with the AEAT
Verifactu (Spanish Royal Decree 1007/2023) requires every invoice to carry a fingerprint chaining it to the previous one and a verifiable QR code. To send them to the Spanish Tax Agency you need a digital certificate and the hotel’s tax details in Configuración → Tu web y los canales → Conexiones.
What you need
- A qualified digital certificate (for a legal entity or representative) or a compatible company seal.
- The tax ID, legal name, and invoice series your accountant uses.
- The identifier of your invoicing software and the installation number.
- 1
Get the certificate
Request it from the FNMT or another certification authority; your accountant can do it for you if they already handle your taxes.
- 2
Upload it to oxpea
In Configuración → Tu web y los canales → Conexiones you upload the certificate to protect the submission to the AEAT.
- 3
Fill in the tax ID, legal name, and series
These are the details that identify every invoice to the tax authority.
- 4
Test before going live
First the format is validated and, with the certificate, a test submission to the Tax Agency.

Important
An issued invoice is never edited or deleted: it is corrected with a credit/correction invoice, exactly as the regulation requires.
Tips
- If the AEAT is not connected yet, the invoice is still issued and marked "pending submission"; nothing is lost.
