Stripe: connecting online payments

Configuración → Tu web y los canales → Conexiones → Pagos needs a connected Stripe account so your website can charge cards. The keys are requested from the Stripe dashboard and stored encrypted; they are never shown in full again once saved.

Before you start

Create or open your Stripe account. If you just want to test the flow without real money, start with the test-mode keys (they begin with "sk_test_" and "pk_test_").

  1. 1

    Copy the secret key

In the Stripe dashboard: Developers → API keys → Secret key. Paste it into Configuración → Tu web y los canales → Conexiones → Pagos.

  2. 2

Set up the payment notification (webhook)

Point the notification to the address oxpea gives you, with the events for completed payment, failed payment, expired, and refund.

  3. 3

    Copy the notification secret

Stripe gives you a key to confirm the notification really comes from them; paste it next to the secret key.

  4. 4

    Test connection

The "Test connection" button calls Stripe with your key and confirms the account is correct before turning on charging.

Important

Once saved, Stripe hides most of the secret key and the notification secret for good; if you lose them, generate new ones from Stripe.

Tips

  • With the test keys you can simulate the whole charging flow without moving real money before going live.
