Channels with Channex: Booking, Expedia and Airbnb

Channex is the other channel manager oxpea may use to sync your availability with the OTAs. Just like with Zodomus, oxpea maintains the account and you take care of mapping rooms and validating each channel before selling it.

Who does what

The Channex account and its API key are managed by oxpea. Your part is choosing the channels, registering them in their extranet pointing to our connectivity, and reviewing the room and rate mapping.

  1. 1

Register the channel in its extranet

Same as with any channel manager: choose "channel manager connection" and provide your property identifier on Booking, Expedia or Airbnb.

  2. 2

    Map rooms and rates

In Configuración → Tu web y los canales → Canales, each of your room types and rates is matched to its equivalent on the channel.

  3. 3

    Validate in testing

Channex certifies each connection with a test environment before going live; oxpea carries out that validation for you.

  4. 4

    Monitor the sync status

Once active, the channel receives and confirms bookings only after oxpea’s engine has saved them, never before.

  • Booking.comBooking.comDoubleMapped
  • ExpediaExpediaSuiteMapped
The channel’s room and rate mapping.

Important

A booking arriving through the channel is not confirmed until oxpea’s engine saves it: that way there is never overbooking between your channels.

Tips

  • If a sync fails, check the room mapping in Configuración → Tu web y los canales → Canales first: it is the most common cause.
